Wickedly Stylish Double-Topper Card with Black Matting

A Halloween-themed card using two toppers from the Wickedly Stylish kit layered on black card with a gold sentiment panel. The design demonstrates how to use the kit outside its traditional Halloween theme.

Step by step

1. Select a black card base and trim a patterned topper from the kit. ▶ watch 48:00
2. Mount the first topper onto the black card using foam pads. ▶ watch 48:30
3. Select a second topper and position it above the first, also using foam pads for dimension. ▶ watch 49:00
4. Cut a thin strip of gold card to use as a breaker panel between the toppers. ▶ watch 50:00
5. Mount the gold breaker strip horizontally across the card to hide the join and add visual interest. ▶ watch 50:45
6. Cut out a preprinted sentiment from the kit and position it on the card. ▶ watch 51:00
7. Adhere the sentiment using foam pads to complete the card. ▶ watch 51:30

Tips from the show

• Use a thin gold or coloured strip as a breaker to hide joins and add sophistication to your design.
• The kit works beautifully for celebrations and special occasions beyond Halloween if you change the sentiment.
