A clean and elegant shaker card using the embossing folder with built-in die. The die creates a perfect aperture window with a chamfered frame edge, allowing you to add shaker elements inside whilst maintaining a sophisticated, framed look.

Step by step

Place white cardstock with the die at the front of the embossing folder. ▶ watch 15:00
Run the cardstock and folder through your die-cutting machine using manufacturer settings for your machine. ▶ watch 15:15
Remove the embossed and cut cardstock from the folder to reveal the perfect aperture with chamfered frame. ▶ watch 15:30
Optionally, trim the embossed piece down to your desired card size. ▶ watch 16:00
Add acetate behind the window and fill with shaker elements like sequins or confetti if desired. ▶ watch 16:30
Adhere the embossed frame piece onto your card base using foam pads or glue. ▶ watch 17:00
Add a sentiment or decorative element in the centre window space. ▶ watch 17:15

Tips from the show

If you don't want to cut the frame aperture, simply remove the die from the folder and use it as a traditional 3D embossing folder without cutting.
Don't force your machine; if resistance is felt, swap out your plates to suit your specific die-cutting machine.
The acetate sheets are included in the bundle, so you have everything needed to create shaker cards immediately.
