Gold Embossed Card with Decorative Corner Element

A sophisticated card using satin gold embossing on the folder to create an elegant frame. The design demonstrates how you can use the decorative embossed elements as corner accents rather than just as a full frame, creating a wow factor with minimal layers.

You will need

Step by step

1. Run gold cardstock through the embossing folder with the die at the front. ▶ watch 17:45
2. Remove the embossed and cut piece to reveal the gold-embossed frame with aperture. ▶ watch 18:00
3. Trim the embossed piece down to your desired card size using scissors. ▶ watch 18:15
4. Cut away a corner section of the embossed frame to create a decorative corner element. ▶ watch 18:30
5. Adhere the main embossed frame piece to your white card base. ▶ watch 18:45
6. Position and glue the cut corner element to the top right corner of your card for added dimension. ▶ watch 19:00
7. Add a sentiment or topper behind the window or in the centre of the card. ▶ watch 19:15

Tips from the show

• You don't have to use the embossed piece as a full frame; you can cut and repurpose the decorative elements as corner accents.
• The cardstock quality means you can use your best stash pieces with these folders.
• White on white creates a stunning pure look without additional embellishment.
