Lamination Stamp Background with Layered Focal

Build a card with a full watercolour background created by stamping the same lamination design multiple times in different colours and positions, then add a larger focal stamp in the centre for a layered effect.

Step by step

  1. Take the solid portion of the lamination stamp and ink it with orange, yellow, pink and green colours. ▶ watch 28:00
  2. Stamp the inked design onto your card base, positioning it in one corner. ▶ watch 28:30
  3. Spray the stamped area with water to activate the watercolour effect. ▶ watch 29:00
  4. Rotate the card and repeat the stamping process with different colour combinations around the edges and corners to create a full background. ▶ watch 29:15
  5. Allow the background to dry completely. ▶ watch 30:00
  6. Stamp the detail portion of the lamination stamp over the dried background in black ink to add definition to the background design. ▶ watch 32:00
  7. Select a larger focal stamp from a different lamination set and stamp it in the centre of the card in black ink. ▶ watch 33:00
  8. Mount the card onto a mat layer and then onto a card base using foam pads to create height and dimension. ▶ watch 36:45
