Fashion Shoe Card with Patterned Paper and Sparkle

Create a stylish shoe card by stamping onto patterned paper, adding subtle shading with stencils, then embossing and embellishing with sparkle. This design combines pattern, dimension and shine for a sophisticated finished card.

Step by step

1. Select a scrap of patterned paper from your collection and position your shoe stamp on it. ▶ watch 43:00
2. Ink up your shoe stamp with black ink and stamp the design onto the patterned paper, using the clear stamp as a viewfinder to choose the best placement. ▶ watch 43:30
3. Select a stencil that will add shadow detail inside the shoe opening and apply a darker ink colour to create dimension without covering the pattern. ▶ watch 44:30
4. Use the coordinating outline die to cut out your stamped and shaded shoe design. ▶ watch 45:15
5. Run your die-cut shoe through the 3D embossing folder to add texture and raised detail. ▶ watch 46:30
6. Prepare your card base with a subtle watermark ink background using the lipstick and glasses stamp for a decorative halo effect. ▶ watch 49:15
7. Adhere a panel of coordinating patterned paper to one side of your card base. ▶ watch 50:00
8. Position your embossed shoe on the card, layering it with foam pads for dimension. ▶ watch 50:30
9. Add a second shoe design with sparkle embellishment, double-padding it for extra dimension. ▶ watch 51:00
10. Adhere a die-cut sentiment from the embossing folder (such as 'love') to complete your card design. ▶ watch 51:30

• Use off-cuts from your paper stash without fear—they work perfectly for card designs.
• Stamping onto patterned paper creates instant visual interest and reduces the need for additional colouring.
• Happy accidents, like a butterfly pattern landing on the shoe heel, can add charming details to your design.
