Perfume Bottle Card with Layered Stencils and Embossing

A project from our live show Create and Craft Show 25th FEB 23 - Join Toni for her latest products and inspiration - show 3 · 25/02/2023 · watch it from 9:15

Create a sophisticated perfume bottle card using the Quattro D system. Layer three stencils with coordinating inks to build depth and shading, add a stamped outline, die-cut the design, and finish with a 3D embossing folder for a shop-quality textured effect.

Step by step

  1. Place stencil number one on white cardstock, line it up in the corner using the magnetic mat to hold it in place. ▶ watch 10:30
  2. Apply teal ink through stencil one using a sponge or blending tool, working from light to medium tones. ▶ watch 11:00
  3. Remove stencil one and position stencil number two, ensuring you can see the number to avoid a reversed image. ▶ watch 13:00
  4. Add a heathery or darker colour through stencil two to create dimension in the perfume bottle design. ▶ watch 13:30
  5. Place stencil number three and apply additional colour to complete the layered shading effect. ▶ watch 14:00
  6. Dry the cardstock with a heat tool, then use an anti-static bag to prevent embossing powder from sticking where unwanted. ▶ watch 15:00
  7. Stamp the perfume bottle outline stamp onto the inked design, lining it up carefully with the stencilled layers. ▶ watch 16:00
  8. Apply sparkly embossing powder over the stamped outline and heat-set with an embossing heat gun. ▶ watch 17:00
  9. Run the die-cut through your die-cutting machine to cut out the perfume bottle shape cleanly. ▶ watch 20:00
  10. Place the die-cut into the 3D embossing folder, line it up with the detail on the stamp, and run through your die-cutting machine to create the dimensional embossed effect. ▶ watch 20:30
