A project from our live show Create and Craft Show 25th FEB 23 - Join Toni for her latest products and inspiration - show 3 · 25/02/2023 · watch it from 35:30

Create a realistic cocktail card using the Mojito design from the Quattro D collection. Layer three stencils with green inks to build convincing shading in the glass, add the stamped detail with splats, die-cut the outline, and finish with the 3D embossing folder.

Step by step

  1. Position stencil number one on white cardstock, ensuring the number is visible to avoid reversing the image. ▶ watch 36:30
  2. Apply a light green ink through stencil one using a sponge, working from the corner of the card. ▶ watch 37:00
  3. Remove stencil one and align stencil number two in the same position. ▶ watch 37:30
  4. Apply a medium green ink through stencil two to add depth to the drink in the glass. ▶ watch 38:00
  5. Position stencil number three and apply a darker green or heathery colour to complete the shading. ▶ watch 38:30
  6. If the colour is not dark enough, reposition an earlier stencil and apply additional ink to deepen the shade. ▶ watch 39:00
  7. Stamp the Mojito design with the splats and detail onto the stencilled base using black ink. ▶ watch 39:30
  8. Die-cut the outline of the cocktail glass using the outline die from the collection. ▶ watch 40:00
  9. Run the die-cut through the 3D embossing folder, aligning it carefully with the stamped detail. ▶ watch 40:30
  10. Apply glossy accents to the ice cubes or glass to create a realistic liquid effect if desired. ▶ watch 41:00
