Birthday Cake Quattro D Card with White Embossing on Black

Make an elegant birthday cake card using the Quattro D system with white ink stamping on black card, creating a striking contrast. Layer the design with the 3D embossing folder for a professional, dimensional finish.

Step by step

1. Place black card into your work area and prepare your white hybrid ink pad. ▶ watch 44:00
2. Stamp the cake design using white hybrid ink, pressing firmly to ensure good ink transfer onto the black card. ▶ watch 46:00
3. Allow the white stamped image to dry completely before proceeding. ▶ watch 46:45
4. Position the stamped design into the 3D embossing folder, lining it up carefully for best results. ▶ watch 47:00
5. Run the card through your die-cutting machine with the embossing folder to create the 3D dimensional effect. ▶ watch 47:30
6. Remove the card from the embossing folder and examine both the front embossed surface and the reverse debossed detail. ▶ watch 48:00
7. Optionally add coordinating sentiment text or embellishments to complete your card design. ▶ watch 48:30

Tips from the show

• White ink on black card creates striking contrast and shows the embossing detail beautifully.
• Take time to line up the design in the embossing folder before running it through the machine for the best 3D effect.
• The embossing folder creates both an embossed front and debossed back, both of which are visually interesting.
