Create a beautiful layered butterfly card using the Pearlywinks A5 butterfly stamp set. Layer solid butterfly stamps with outline and detail stamps to build dimension and create professional-looking butterfly designs.

Step by step

1. Select your first butterfly stamp from the set and ink it with your chosen colour. ▶ watch 38:30
2. Stamp the solid butterfly silhouette onto your card base. ▶ watch 39:00
3. Select the matching outline or detail butterfly stamp from the set. ▶ watch 39:30
4. Carefully line up the detail stamp over your stamped butterfly and press down to create the layered effect. ▶ watch 40:00
5. Repeat with additional butterfly stamps in different sizes and orientations across your card if desired. ▶ watch 40:30
6. Add a sentiment stamp such as 'Be Wild Be Free' or 'Become the Change' to complete your design. ▶ watch 41:00

Tips from the show

• The stamp set includes butterflies facing forward, in side profile, and cascading formations so you have variety.
• You can fussy cut the butterflies out as they have simplistic designs that are easy to cut around.
• The butterflies work well as independent background elements or can be used through stencils for additional effects.
