Teapot Lamination Card with Watercolour Effect

Create a stunning card featuring a teapot stamp with a hand-painted watercolour appearance using lamination techniques. The multi-layered stamping creates fine china detail with soft colour blending and delicate shading.

Step by step

  1. Trim your watercolour card to a smaller size for a mini card format. ▶ watch 22:00
  2. Ink the solid teapot stamp with teal ink, tapping gently to ensure even coverage. ▶ watch 24:30
  3. Spray the inked stamp three times with water to create a wet, blendable surface. ▶ watch 25:45
  4. Press the stamp firmly onto the watercolour card and hold for a moment. ▶ watch 26:00
  5. Blot excess water with a dry baby wipe to remove puddles whilst keeping the colour wet. ▶ watch 28:00
  6. Align the detail stamp over the solid teapot image using the packet as a guide. ▶ watch 29:45
  7. Ink the detail stamp with the same teal colour and stamp it twice for better definition. ▶ watch 31:00
  8. Paint a light grey shadow underneath the teapot using a damp brush to ground the image. ▶ watch 36:15
  9. Mount the finished stamped panel onto a craft-coloured card blank. ▶ watch 37:00
