Glueless Box with Hook and Eye System

A sturdy decorative box made from a 12 by 12 inch paper using the scoring board and punch system, with no glue required. The hook and eye system keeps the box securely closed, perfect for gifting bath bombs, jewellery or other small items.

Step by step

1. Select a 12 by 12 inch paper from your stash and place it on the scoring board. ▶ watch 46:15
2. Align the paper with the start line and score at the XL marking. ▶ watch 46:30
3. Locate the diagonal line on the board and score at the XL marking on that line. ▶ watch 46:45
4. Punch the designated holes using the punch system on the board. ▶ watch 47:00
5. Rotate the paper 90 degrees and repeat the scoring and punching process on the next side. ▶ watch 47:15
6. Continue rotating and repeating until all four sides are scored and punched. ▶ watch 47:45
7. Turn the paper over and pop out the small triangular pieces using the punch system. ▶ watch 48:15
8. Fold in the scored edges and push the side flaps inward to form the box shape. ▶ watch 48:45
9. Insert the hook and eye fasteners into the punched holes on the flaps. ▶ watch 49:15
10. Hook the flaps together to close the box securely without any glue. ▶ watch 49:45

Tips from the show

• You do not need glue, scissors or tape for the box itself; the hook and eye system holds it together.
• Use a burnishing tool to create crisp, clean folds for a professional finish.
