3D Chrysanthemum Flower Card

Create a stunning 3D chrysanthemum flower using pre-shaded die-cut petals that require no colouring. The flowers are double-sided with shading on both front and back, allowing you to build dimensional blooms quickly and easily.

Step by step

1. Position the die plate onto the pre-printed shaded flower card stock, ensuring it fits properly on the double-sided card. ▶ watch 27:45
2. If the die doesn't align, flip the card stock over to use the reverse side, as the dies are not symmetrical. ▶ watch 28:00
3. Run the die and card stock through your die-cutting machine. ▶ watch 28:15
4. Pop out the cut flower pieces using a pokey tool. ▶ watch 28:30
5. Select pieces in different sizes and layer them together, choosing either the light or dark shaded side as desired. ▶ watch 28:45
6. Glue the flower layers together using dry clear glue to create dimension. ▶ watch 29:00
7. Optional: shape the petals gently with your fingers or ball tools if you prefer a more dimensional effect. ▶ watch 29:15

Tips from the show

• The card stock is thicker than traditional, allowing you to score and fold petals for sideways 3D flowers as well as flat blooms.
• You get multiple sizes on the plates, so you can build flowers at different scales.
• The double-sided shading means you can choose which colour tone to display on each petal.
