Romantic Couple Reflection Card with Layered Stencil

Create a romantic card featuring a couple walking through a scenic landscape using the new Celebrate You reflection stamp set combined with layering stencil masks. The card uses a beautiful pre-printed paper background with a sunset scene, layered stamping in black and grey inks, and decorative elements to create depth and dimension.

Step by step

1. Select a white card base and choose the pre-printed paper collection with the scenic background you prefer. ▶ watch 17:00
2. Position the layering stencil mask with the heart shape over your card to create a frame for your focal image. ▶ watch 19:30
3. Ink a brush with pink ink and gently highlight the heart area to add colour and dimension to the stencil opening. ▶ watch 20:15
4. Stamp the couple image from the Celebrate You set in black ink at the top portion of the card, positioning them as if walking into the sunset. ▶ watch 21:00
5. Stamp the tree element from the set in pink ink, positioning it to appear as though it's part of the scenic landscape. ▶ watch 25:00
6. Stamp the tree again in black ink slightly offset to create a layered, dimensional effect and add depth to the design. ▶ watch 31:00
7. Add a sentiment from the Celebrate You set, such as 'Follow Your Heart', positioning it to cover any areas you wish to hide or enhance. ▶ watch 38:00
8. Trim and mat the card as desired, then add embellishments such as sparkle or glitter to enhance the finished design. ▶ watch 41:00

Tips from the show

• You can stamp onto patterned paper or everyday white card stock—don't limit yourself to just one surface.
• If you make a mistake with double stamping, cover it with a sentiment or add sparkle and glitter to hide the error.
• Use a running dry ink pad to create natural shadows and depth instead of purchasing additional grey ink pads.
