Diamond Stitch Nesting Die Card with Stag

Create a striking card using nesting diamond stitch dies layered on black cardstock, topped with a die-cut stag and the word 'Noel'. The geometric pattern provides a sophisticated backdrop for the stag design.

Step by step

1. Cut the diamond stitch nesting die from white cardstock. ▶ watch 48:30
2. Mount the white diamond stitch shape onto black cardstock to create contrast and make the geometric pattern pop. ▶ watch 49:00
3. Position this layered piece onto your card base. ▶ watch 49:30
4. Die-cut the stag head from black cardstock. ▶ watch 50:00
5. Mount the black stag onto white cardstock to create a backing layer. ▶ watch 50:30
6. Glue the stag centrally onto the diamond stitch background. ▶ watch 51:00
7. Die-cut the word 'Noel' from white cardstock using the individual letter dies from the set. ▶ watch 51:30
8. Position 'Noel' underneath the stag's body, keeping it in a single colour to avoid distracting from the main image. ▶ watch 52:00
9. Ensure the embossed detail from the diamond stitch die creates the foundation that brings the entire design together. ▶ watch 52:30

Tips from the show

• The embossing folder detail in the background brings the whole design together and prevents elements from floating.
