Quick Composition Card with Pre-Cut Embellishments

Assemble a sophisticated card quickly by layering pre-cut die embellishments onto a stencilled background. This project demonstrates how the individual 3D elements can be combined in endless ways to create unique compositions without requiring advanced colouring skills.

Step by step

1. Create a stencilled background using metallic ink and a leaf stencil on your card base. ▶ watch 32:00
2. Select pre-coloured or white die-cut flower and leaf embellishments from your collection. ▶ watch 32:15
3. Attach the first embellishment to the card using foam tape for dimension. ▶ watch 32:30
4. Layer additional embellishments, positioning them to create a pleasing composition. ▶ watch 32:45
5. Add a smaller embellishment as a drop shadow or accent piece using foam tape. ▶ watch 33:00
6. Add a stamped sentiment to complete the card. ▶ watch 33:15

Tips from the show

• The stencilled background provides enough visual interest that you don't need to fill the card with embellishments.
• Foam tape adds dimension and makes the embellishments stand out from the background.
• You can create multiple different compositions using the same die-cut elements.
