About AQUARELLE

Aquarelle is a small but special category for crafters who love working with watercolour techniques and effects. Whether you're creating delicate painted cards, adding soft washes to your designs, or blending colours with water, this collection brings together products that work beautifully with aquarelle methods.

In this category you'll find card blanks and bases designed with aquarelle work in mind. The Brown Kraft Card is a versatile foundation that pairs wonderfully with watercolour paints, inks and water-based media. Many card makers use kraft card as a neutral backdrop for wet media, allowing painted details and colour washes to really stand out.

When choosing card for aquarelle projects, consider the weight and texture—heavier card stocks handle water and pigment better without buckling. It's worth testing your chosen card with your preferred paints and water techniques before committing to a full project, as different surfaces can create surprisingly different effects. Keep a heat tool or hair dryer handy to speed up drying times between layers.
