Vellum Wrap with Stamped Sentiment Card

Create a layered card by tearing vellum to create a decorative wrap, then adding a heat-embossed sentiment on a matted layer. This technique combines transparency and dimension for an elegant finish.

Step by step

1. Tear vellum along a tree line or design element to create a natural-looking wrap for your card. ▶ watch 59:45
2. Position the torn vellum across your card and secure it with tape or adhesive. ▶ watch 1:00:00
3. Stamp a sentiment from your stamp set onto black or mirror board using heat-embossing ink. ▶ watch 1:00:15
4. Heat-emboss the sentiment to create a raised, dimensional finish. ▶ watch 1:00:30
5. Mount the embossed sentiment onto a mat layer and adhere it to your card for added elevation. ▶ watch 1:00:45
6. Add sparkles or embellishments to the vellum trees using stickles or similar products for extra shimmer. ▶ watch 1:01:00

Tips from the show

• Vellum tears incredibly well, so don't worry about achieving a perfectly straight edge.
• Layering with mats elevates your craft and draws attention to key elements like sentiments.
