Create a stunning card featuring an embossed snow burst background in shimmering gold with a central circular aperture. The design is completed with a layered panel showcasing an Amala character topper, combining elegant metallics with a contemporary dotted texture. This versatile card uses embossing folders and die-cutting techniques to achieve a sophisticated finish suitable for various occasions.

Step by step

1. 

   Run your gold or grey card stock through the embossing machine with the snow burst embossing folder to create the textured background pattern.

2. 

   Layer a grey card panel onto your embossed base card. Add a gold decorative card panel on top, staggering the layers slightly to create visual interest and show each layer.

3. 

   Position your Amala character stamp or die-cut onto the embossed gold background to create a focal point for your card. Place the character centrally or slightly off-centre to ground the scene against the embossed texture.

4. Add your sentiment stamp to complete the card. Position the stamp on the lower portion of your card and press firmly to transfer the text. ▶ watch 25:30

Tips from the show

• Mark your embossing folder to remember which way it embosses up to avoid confusion in future use.
• If your embossing folder has a circular element, you can cut it out to create a peephole effect or diorama-style card.
