Metallic Glaze is a specialist category from DecoArt, designed for crafters who want to add lustrous, light-reflecting finishes to their papercraft projects. Whether you're stamping, cardmaking or scrapbooking, metallic glazes help you create eye-catching dimensional effects.
This range includes rich metallic colours like Medieval Gold, which come in convenient 2oz bottles. Metallic glazes are perfect for adding shimmer and shine to stamped images, embellishments, backgrounds and decorative details. Many crafters use them to highlight focal points, create borders, or add luxurious accents that catch the light beautifully on finished cards and layouts.
When working with metallic glazes, a little goes a long way—start with a small amount and build up the colour gradually for the effect you want. These products work well with various application methods, from brush application to sponging, so experiment to find the technique that suits your style. Always allow proper drying time between layers for the best results.
