Patina is a collection of specialty finishes from Viva Decor, designed for crafters who want to add authentic, aged metallic effects to their mixed media and dimensional projects.
This range includes liquid patina finishes in rich, weathered tones like Verdigris and Oxide. Each comes in a 50ml bottle, giving you plenty of product to work with. Patina is perfect for aging metal embellishments, creating vintage effects on clay, resin or paper, and adding depth and character to mixed media pieces, scrapbook layouts and card designs.
When choosing your patina shade, think about the overall mood you're creating—Verdigris gives a classic blue-green copper finish, whilst Oxide delivers deeper, rust-like tones. A little patina goes a long way, so apply sparingly with a brush or sponge and build up the colour gradually. Test on a spare piece first to see how the finish develops, especially if you're working on a finished project you want to protect.
