The Mannen-Mouhitsu collection from Kuretake brings traditional Japanese brush pen craftsmanship to your papercraft projects. These pens are ideal for card makers, stampers and scrapbookers who want to add hand-lettered details, decorative flourishes or artistic touches to their work.
This category features brush pens designed for creative writing and illustration. Whether you're adding elegant calligraphy to card sentiments, creating decorative borders on scrapbook layouts, or embellishing stamped designs with flowing strokes, brush pens offer versatility and control. The soft, flexible bristles respond to pressure, allowing you to vary line width from delicate hairlines to bold, expressive marks.
When choosing a brush pen, consider the colour palette you're working with and test the tip on scrap paper first to get a feel for how much pressure gives you the effects you want. Keep the pen capped when not in use to prevent the bristles from drying out, and store it horizontally if possible to maintain even ink distribution.
