A birthday card featuring the roller skate stamp from the Imala collection. The design uses watercolour techniques to create a vibrant, loose background that complements the skate imagery, perfect for garden parties or birthday celebrations.

Step by step

1. Stamp the roller skate image in monochrome on cardstock to see the full detail of the design. ▶ watch 2:15
2. Add watercolour to the background using wet-on-wet technique with loose colour washes. ▶ watch 2:30
3. Allow the watercolour to blend naturally, creating a soft, artistic background behind the skate. ▶ watch 2:45
4. Layer the stamped skate image onto your coloured background for a finished card. ▶ watch 3:00

Tips from the show

• You can mask off the skull t-shirt on the design if you want to change the look
• The stamp works as a corner stamp, main flourish, or upside down for different effects
