Embossed Metallic Card with 3D Folder

Run metallic card stock through a die cutting and embossing machine with a 3D embossing folder to create an elegant, raised design. The letter press effect gives the card an opulent, expensive appearance.

Step by step

1. Place a piece of metallic card stock (gold or black) into the embossing folder, ensuring it is centred. ▶ watch 52:00
2. Insert the folder with the card into the die cutting machine. ▶ watch 52:30
3. Turn the handle of the machine smoothly and steadily to feed the card through the rollers. ▶ watch 53:00
4. Remove the card and embossing folder from the machine carefully. ▶ watch 53:30
5. Open the embossing folder to reveal the raised, letter-pressed design on the card. ▶ watch 54:00
6. Trim the edges of the card neatly if desired. ▶ watch 54:30
7. Mount the embossed card onto a card blank or use it as a decorative element on your project. ▶ watch 55:00

Tips from the show

• The die cutting machine requires very little pressure—it operates smoothly with minimal effort.
• Metallic card stock shows embossed designs beautifully due to the reflective surface.
• The 3D embossing folder has multiple layers that create depth and dimension in the design.
